Dr Simon Muturi is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering and Science. He holds a PhD in Built Environment from the School of Sutherland, Robert Gordon University, United Kingdom. Dr Muturi’s research interests include contract law in long-term contractual arrangements such as Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). He is especially interested in the role of relational contracts in mitigating opportunism and fostering collaboration in complex project procurement and management environments. His work explores how legal frameworks and collaborative practices influence project success and sustainability in large-scale infrastructure development.
He continues to contribute to both academic scholarship and industry practice through research, teaching, and consultancy in construction law, procurement strategy, and project delivery models.
